Yum!

Believe me. When I say I’m easy to please, I am REALLY easy to please. It’s past 5AM now at where I am. My youngest sister, who’s awake already, getting ready for work, asked me if I wanted to eat pancit canton. Imagine my joy! I was really hungry already when she asked, awake since midnight. I am really happy that my hunger was assuaged.

It’s good to have younger siblings! Hahaha

Dad’s a little envious :)

A family friend recently bought a brand new car with a built-in gps systems in place. My dad’s a little bit envious of it. We have an old car and well, since we couldn’t afford to buy a new one at the moment, all he can do is admire the new car now and wait for his turn to have a new one :)

Seriously, I hope I have more than enough money to buy my dad a new car. He deserves it. He’s been taking care of us for the past few years now since my mom died. Taking in the role of both parents for us.

My smart Smartphone

Smartphone

One of the things I have that I cannot live without is my Smartphone. I remember buying it secondhand from my friend’s husband (still her boyfriend then). I think it’s about 5 years by now since I bought this. It functions as my cellphone (call and text messaging), e-book reader, notepad, pocket dictionary, and my mp3 player. I take care of it really well. My friend was amazed when she saw it the last time we met. It’s still the same as before except for the scratches on its surface. I believe it’s already what they call as obsolete in the tech world.

But guess what? If I can buy a new one, I would! I love my Smartphone a lot! Smarter than most people I know :P

Travels here and there

It seems my aunt has a bagful of great travel deals on hand. Imagine, almost every weekend, her whole family travels to different parts of the country. Once a month, they go out of the country. Even the dreaded A(H1N1) virus could not stop them from traveling! I believe they are going to Singapore this coming weekend since her daughter will be starting school on Monday after that. Lucky people!

My health condition

Health is wealth. Unfortunately for me, even though I know that, I don’t keep it in mind. I am probably one of the unhealthful persons you’ll ever meet. That’s why preparing for the inevitable is what I do. Look to the future and make sure that there will be something I can fall back on if ever. The Blue Cross North Carolina health plan is currently something I am interested in. I am not being negative here but I do know that eventually, all the neglect I’ve been doing to my body will surface. I need a health plan that I can tap into in the future.

A reward

I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard that my cousin was given a LCD TV as a reward for something that he did automatically. He found a small purse at a bench at school. He opened it and found some cash as well as a number of IDs and documents in it. Not knowing what to do, he took an ID and looked for the contact number to call in case of emergency. He was able to speak with someone and informed that person that he was holding the purse of the woman. They met and he gave back the purse. The woman asked for his contact number at home so she could send something as thanks. My cousin gave his number. Their whole family was shocked to receive a delivery of the LCD TV and it came from the woman. The note said that the documents are very important to her because it is a contract without which she couldn’t get her commission. Probably amounted to millions considering the amount of the reward.

It still pays to be kind and honest these days.

Making a comeback…

Done with The Journey to 30. It’s now Me and My Tsinelas making a comeback!

I have not been updating some blogs of mine that much because I was busy with the new ones. Fortunately for me, I still have my regular readers and subscribers. Thanks for sticking with me, peeps! Truly appreciate it!

So some blogs of mine are making a comeback. I will keep you posted on the developments :)

Happy Monday! Happy blogging!

Real experts

There are experts in every field. In our family, I am the appointed “expert” in the field of finance. Although I tell them all the time that I only know Accounting and the related work I handled in the past ten years, my family insist on making me the expert in finance. One of my uncles was having trouble with a contract regarding mortgage life insurance. I told him that he should get in touch with real experts since I know very little about it. I directed him to Wholesale Insurance and hopefully, he already found the clarification to his numerous questions.

School stuff

My brother and I went out to buy some school stuff for him. It’s the start of his second year, first semester in college. It was so hot outside! We went to this popular thrift market here in the city. You can just imagine the number of people who are also doing their last minute school shopping. The heat and the crowd made my head pound and my skin felt so sticky! I believe that the skin care products I put on myself have melted due to the intense heat.

Anyway, we were able to buy the things my brother needs. It took us a little over two hours. Almost one hour was spent waiting for the stores to open. We were there really early hehe

Not enough memory

When you are on vacation, you can never have enough memory cards with you. For my family, anyway. We love taking photos of us and every little interesting piece we come across. The last time we went on vacation, I brought along my laptop so we could store pictures taken for the day and free up the memory space of the digicam. Now, my sister bought a compact flash memory card so that we need not bring with us my laptop on our next trip. I worried the whole time that something might happen to it when I leave it at the hotel so to avoid a similar situation, an additional memory card will do.
